Name:

 The name of this Association shall be the Marco Island Taxpayers Association, Inc. (MITA), incorporated under the laws of the State of Florida as a not-for-profit organization 501(c)4.

Mission:

 To research,investigate,analyze and report to MITA members regarding important issues that impact tax dollars, fees, assessment programs, budgets and proposed tax (millage) rates.

 Purpose:

 The purpose of this Association shall be:

a. To promote and protect the best interests of all taxpayers of Marco Island.

b. To promote and strive for the economically feasible improvement and betterment of all desirable public facilities, infrastructure and services for the betterment of the Marco Island taxpayers on a cost effective basis.

c. To cooperate with city, county and local government officials and with other civic and community organizations for the general welfare of the Marco Island taxpayers.

d. To provide a forum for taxpayers voices so that common concerns are forcefully heard and followed with action.
